Description:

Churen Himal Expedition at 7371m lies in the western part of Nepal in the Dhaulagiri Range. Unlike Everest and Annapurna, Churen Himal Expedition is less popular but offers the exotic beauty of nature and cultural diversity throughout. Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve with its abundance in floras and faunas including varieties of endangered species lies to the South of Churen Himal. Churen Himal has three major summits, Churen Himal East (7371m) Churen Himal West (7371m) and Churen Himal Central (7385m). The Churen Himal Central is the main peak for an expedition. The trail is rugged, so we move on off-the-beaten-track through isolated valleys, forests and wild nature.

The Spectacular views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range are the most refreshing and energy filling aspects of this journey. Get ready for this adventurous expedition in the wilderness of the Dhaulagiri Region far away from the crowd and noise of the cities.

Itinerary:

Arrival in Kathmandu and Rest at the Hotel

Expedition Briefing, Preparation and Documentation

We drive/ fly to the beautiful city Pokhara, the city of lakes and the starting point to many adventurous travels. We rest at a hotel and prepare to move for the next day. 

We start our day from Pokhara with a drive to Takam where we will stay overnight in a tented camp. 

Trek from Takam to Lumsum Village through the lush green forests of pine, Rhododendron, deodars, firs and many more. Small village settlements and their hospitality will add an extra essence in our journey.

Trek from Gurja Gaon to Dirsinge Kharka and rest overnight in a tented camp.

Trek from Dirsinge to Burjunga Kharka and rest in a tented camp.

Trek from Burjunga Kharka to Churen Himal Base Camp at 4600m. We will conduct climbing practices at the base camp. The base camp offers the mesmerizing views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna and Mt Churen itself.

We start climbing the peak through the snowy path. We set up two camps in between the base camp and the summit. Upon the successful summit, we move down towards the base camp and prepare to return. The top of the summit at 7371m allows witnessing the 360° view of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Ranges and the other summits of Churen Himal itself.

Trek back from Gurja Gaon to Lulang Gaon and rest overnight in a tented camp.

Trek from Lulang to Takam

Drive from Takam to Pokhara and rest at the hotel.

Drive or Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You may choose to add one more day for sightseeing and stay in Pokhara. 

On this day, you will be taken sightseeing around the major parts of the Kathmandu city. Our professional city guide will take you on the city tour.
