Nar Phu Valley Trek

24 Days Autumn, Spring & Summer Nepal
Description:

Nar and Phu are the two remote and isolated villages in the extreme parts of the Manang District in the Annapurna Region. Undoubtedly, trekking to this valley requires special permits from the Government of Nepal. Being extremely remote they are also called the lost valleys. The trail in the trek offers the visit to Tashi Lakhang Monastery; one of the oldest and ancient Buddhist Monasteries. It is one of the classic treks in Nepal with a wide variety of vegetation and landscapes, marvelous mountain views, dense and lush forests of Rhododendron, junipers, oaks, and pines, a number of suspension bridges, Tibetan villages with Tibetan descendant’s residents, stone-built lookouts and many more. The beautiful fact of this trek is you get to familiarize yourself with diverse groups of Gurungs, Tibetans, and Manangis living in villages with stone walls. The main religion here is Buddhism; hence you can find a large number of Buddhist monuments and monasteries. You may also take an excursion trip to Praken Gompa and Chongar View Point to behold the exotic sceneries. The trail is comparatively challenging due to steep and stony paths and high altitude as high as 5140m but we will try making it as comfortable as we can. The trek requires physical and mental strength and great passion. Passing through the gorges, high passes and small villages we will get to see the views of Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna II, Pisang Peak, Mt. Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak and other high mountains.
