Description:

Poonhill Trekking is one of the most popular and easy treks in the Annapurna region leading to the Photographer’s Paradise, ‘Poonhill’.  The reason it is called the Photographers Paradise is the splendid views that can be observed from Poonhill. One can witness the glorious sunrise rising from behind the giant mountains. It is also termed as Annapurna Sunrise Trekking or Annapurna Panorama Trekking for the scenes one can see while on the route. Poonhill offers the striking panorama of the great Himalayan ranges including the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri Range, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, and Manaslu Ranges.

The trail during this trek passes through small beautiful villages with terraced slopes, paddy fields, warm culture, and traditions of Gurungs and Magars. You will also be walking through dense green forests of pine, junipers, and rhododendrons. The proximity and easy terrain make this trek a perfect choice for beginners as well. You do not need any particular experience of trekking to go on this trek. . As you pass through the Annapurna Conservation Area, you will be mesmerized to see the diversity of floras and faunas. So, plan with your friends or family and give yourself a break from the hectic lifestyle and immerse yourself in the wilderness of nature.

Itinerary:

Arrival in Kathmandu and rest at the hotel. We will gather for a welcome dinner in the evening.

On this day, we will go sightseeing in different nearby places. We will also fulfill all the necessary documentation procedures and check if everything is in place for the trekking. 

After breakfast, we carry our bags and drive to Pokhara. We will stop for lunch in the midway and finally stop at Pokhara for rest. Pokhara is a beautiful city with a large number of lakes. In the evening, we can roam around in the Lake side area. 

This morning, we will drive to Nayapul on bumpy roads. Upon reaching Nayapul, we will have lunch and start our trek to Ulleri through the forests and suspension bridge over the Tikhedhunga Khola and finally a steep trail. Rest overnight in Ulleri. 

After the overnight rest at Ulleri, we resume our journey towards Ghorepani. We pass through Banthanti and Nangethanti and finally reach Ghorepani to rest for the day. 

Today s going to be a beautiful day as we trek to Poonhill, the Photographers Paradise. We will witness the glorious sunrise, the amazing Himalayan Ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massif including Lamjung Himal and Manaslu range. then we gradually descend to Tadapani. 

From Tadapani, the trail passes through various terraced fields until we cross the Modi Khola. Finally, we reach our destination, Landruk. 

Walking along the dense forests, we descend to Kande from where we will take a bus or jeep to Pokhara. 

Pokhara is such a beautiful city that one day is not enough t explore all its beauty. However, we will take a day break and go sightseeing in popular places like the Bat cave, Mahendra cave, Davis Falls, The Peace Stupa and other places as per our time frame. 

After spending a wonderful day in Pokhara, we will drive back to Kathmandu and rest at the hotel.

Its time for final departure. We will drop you off at the airport at you scheduled time for your departure.
